What happened to Anne, Unemploymentville.com and the book?
Hi,
As you may have noticed I haven’t been working on Unemploymentville.com or Escape from Unemploymentville for many weeks. Here is why:
My father had a stroke on January 19th and passed away on January 30th. He was 89 years old and had a long, full life. Tragically, six days after he passed away, my 27-year-old niece was in a car accident. After five days in intensive care, this wonderful, bright life was also taken from our family, passing away on February 9th. Our family has had two memorial services in February. February 12th for my father and February 24th for my niece.
I have been struggling with all of this mightily, as well as catching back up on my day-job where co-workers covered my responsibilities during my multiple unplanned absences.
So how to resume work on Unemploymentville, the website and the book? I could outline all the tasks remaining to be done, but that is likely to feel overwhelming in my current somewhat fragile state-of-mind. Putting dates on when I would get to those tasks would surely feel even more overwhelming. So here is what I’m thinking might work.
It’s March 9th. I’m going to begin working on Unemploymentville tasks starting now and sometime between now and the end of the month I’ll try to offer up a new target date on completing Escape from Unemploymentville. I’m giving myself permission to just do what I feel like doing in March in whatever order suits me. I hope that you will understand.
Take care,
Anne
